How do you standardise photography in a multi-site study?+
Each participant's photos are compared with their own baseline, so every capture has to control the same four variables: lighting, distance, angle and framing. Because the results of all sites are pooled, every site has to hold them stable from baseline to the last follow-up. Dedicated imaging systems fix these variables with hardware at each site; a software protocol can instead guide every operator to the same standard. evooia takes the second route: SAPHIR™ defines the capture standard, the app guides each photo on iPhone or iPad, and AlignedCapture™ aligns follow-ups onto the baseline.
Can evooia help us set up the photography protocol?+
Yes. We turn your protocol into guided capture templates with your team: the views, lighting, distance, angle and framing, the time points and who captures each image. Every site then works with the same guidance from the first participant.
Do participating sites need dedicated imaging equipment?+
No dedicated imaging hardware or photo room is needed. Sites capture with the evooia app on iPhone or iPad (Android is planned), and the web dashboard runs in any browser.
Can participants take study photos at home?+
Yes, for photo capture. Participants follow the same guided capture on their own iPhone, and their photos sync to the study workspace, comparable to the site baseline. Visits and assessments still follow your study protocol.
Can participating sites see each other's participants?+
No. Each site sees only its own participants, while your study team sees every site and every image in one place. Access is role-based, and every view and export is recorded in the audit trail.
How is participant consent handled?+
In the app, the same way at every site. Participants sign on the device and choose each purpose separately (documentation, education, marketing, each also available de-identified). Every signature is linked to the exact version and language of the consent text, and each consent and withdrawal is recorded with time and device.

Dedicated imaging system or smartphone capture: which fits a product study?+
Dedicated systems such as multispectral booths or 3D rigs deliver highly controlled images and quantitative skin analysis wherever they are installed. Guided smartphone capture trades that depth for reach: more sites, participant photos from home and frequent time points, without dedicated equipment at every site. Studies that need quantitative or 3D measurement use a dedicated system; studies that need consistent real-world photography at scale can run on evooia, and many combine both.
Which before-and-after export formats are available?+
Single photos, side-by-side comparisons, slider views and morph videos, with optional branding. Because every image is captured to the same standard and aligned onto its baseline, exports need no manual editing.
What happens to the images when the study ends?+
The images stay in evooia. After the study you reduce to the licences you still need, so your team can keep reviewing, comparing and exporting whenever it needs to. There is no imaging equipment to retrieve, store or redeploy.
