Visual guidance and automatic alignment match every follow-up photo to the original in angle, distance, and framing, regardless of who takes it or where.
Why is the before photo so important?+
Because it can only be taken once. Once treatment starts, the untreated state cannot be photographed again, and every later photo is compared with it. A baseline taken under uncontrolled lighting, distance, angle or framing weakens every comparison that follows. evooia guides the baseline capture on iPhone and iPad, so each follow-up can be matched to it.
What makes clinical before-and-after photos reliably comparable?+
Before-and-after photos are comparable when the differences between images reflect the patient's clinical change, not differences in how the photos were taken. That requires controlling the same variables on every capture: lighting, camera distance, angle, and framing. evooia guides these variables during capture and automatically aligns every follow-up to the original reference image, keeping photos comparable across visits, staff, and locations without a dedicated photo room.

Can different staff members take the before and the after?+
Yes. Every team member gets the same guided capture: the app checks ambient lighting and guides distance, angle and framing against the baseline. A follow-up taken by a different person in a different room stays comparable to the baseline, so consistent photos do not depend on one person remembering how the baseline was taken.
Can follow-up photos be taken at home?+
Yes, where the clinic offers it. Patients can take optional follow-up photos at home in the evooia app, guided the same way as in the clinic, and the photos sync to the clinic's dashboard. Home capture covers the photos only: the clinic reviews them and plans visits as usual.
Can I take clinical photos without special photography equipment?+
Yes. evooia runs on iPhone and iPad and guides lighting, distance, angle and framing, so no DSLR, studio lighting or dedicated photo room is needed.
Which devices does evooia run on?+
Capture runs in the evooia iOS app on iPhone and iPad; Android is planned. The web dashboard runs in any browser. The dashboard needs no installation.
How is patient data protected?+
Patient data is stored encrypted in Microsoft Azure data centres in Switzerland. Access is limited by role, and every access, share and export is recorded in a tamper-evident audit trail. evooia is built for GDPR and Swiss FADP compliance and designed to support HIPAA-compliant deployments.
